Welcome to the wonderful world of New England weather!  After getting a lot of snow during December, we run into a streak of unseasonably warm January weather.  Unfortunately, we lost a lot of snow on the trails, but as of this writing we are expecting a pretty good storm.  Let’s hope that this snow stays around long enough for us to be able to do some good riding.

A great big thanks to all who came out to help with the bridge decks on January 5th.  It was really great to see some new faces along with our “old” reliable regulars.  THANKS ALL!!!!!

Reminder - We have Super Raffle tickets for sale to benefit the NHSA and affiliated clubs.  The prizes this year are an 8’6” x 12’ Tandem V-Nose Blizzard trailer, a 2008 Polaris Turbo Switchback and a Yellowstone Snowmobile Trip for 2 people.  Winner will select the prize of their choice in the order drawn from those remaining. If anyone is interested in purchasing any tickets, please contact me at suemagnuson@metrocast.net as soon as possible.  We need to have our money into the NHSA office by January 25th, so there isn’t much time.  Reminder, our club keeps half of all money we raise selling these tickets.

Fundraisers:  The fundraising calendars will be ready for sale soon. We will be doing them for the month of March this year.  We will be sending a couple out to each member, but if you would like to get some to buy or sell, please let Todd know. Calendars are $5.00 each.  For anyone who is not familiar with this fundraiser, calendars are printed with a monetary amount on each date.  A winner is drawn for each date from all people who purchase a calendar.  All winners’ names go back into the drawing, so you are eligible to win multiple times.  Anyone who is interested in purchasing and/or selling calendars, please let Todd know via e-mail at 1toddco@msn.com or at 279-4715.

We are still planning on monthly club rides on January 19, February 23 and March 8th (weather permitting).  We will be meeting at the train station in Meredith (on Maple Street) at 10:00 am.  Route will be determined at that time depending on snow conditions and the input of participants.  Everyone is invited and encouraged to attend.  It will be a great way to meet other club members. Plans are for the March 8th ride to include a cookout as the year end ride.

If anyone is interested, the Easter Seals Ride-in will be held on February 1 – 3rd.  For more information on this, check out this month’s Sno Traveler magazine or visit the NHSA website at nhsa.com.

If anyone is able to volunteer for a couple hours to help with selling club memberships at Meredith Harley Davidson during Fishing Derby weekend (February 9th & 10th), please let me know.  This is a very busy time for them with registrations, and they would greatly appreciate our help.  You can e-mail me at suemagnuson@metrocast.net or call me at 387-1919.
