March 10, 2010 meeting:
Present: Rhonda Henault , Todd Andrews, Ben Quinn, Gus Jenkins, Sue Magnuson

Just a quick newsletter this month. We certainly did not have the best of snowmobiling seasons this year, but we do have a few items we need to take care of. Thanks to Todd, Jeff, Norm, and Kyle for removing the bridge decks this week. We will be removing the fence around the ballfield on Saturday April 3rd. Please meet at the ballfield at 8:00 am if you can help out. The more hands we have the quicker it will get done. If you have any questions, you can call Todd at 279-4715 or e-mail him at 1toddco@msn.com.

We have received a one-year extension from the Town of Meredith to re-route the Philbrook Ave area portion of our trail. Todd will be working on this with the Town and property owners. If anyone has any ideas, please feel free to contact him. There may be some other re-routes over the next few years, and we will keep everyone up to date as we have more information.

We will be applying for Grant-in Aid money to do summer/fall trail work. We also need to apply to the State for a wetlands permit to repair the bridge on Route 104 that was damaged by the beavers. If anyone has any ideas for work that needs to be done, please feel free to contact Todd.

Please keep the date in mind: Our Spring meeting and Election of Officers will be held in May at Oak Hill Golf Course (date to be determined next month). This will be a potluck dinner. If anyone is interested in holding an office or being on the Board of Directors, please plan on attending. We will be looking to fill a Director’s position, due to the resignation of Mel Lezberg. He and Marilyn have decided to sell their snow machines and focus on other winter sports. We will miss seeing their smiling faces at all of our functions.

NEXT MEETING: Wednesday, April 14th at 7:00 pm at the Meredith Center Fire Station.

HOPE TO SEE ALL OF YOU IN MAY!
