December 10, 2009 meeting/Christmas Party:

We had a pretty good turnout for the Christmas party this year. We had about 35 members attend and a great time was had by all. It was really nice to see some new faces attending this year. Welcome and we hope to see more of you. Those of you who did not attend – you don’t know what you missed! A HUGE THANK YOU to Gus and Barb Jenkins for once again hosting us at Oak Hill Golf Course. A special presentation was made to Hank Denison for his many years as our dedicated Trailmaster. He was presented with a special Sno-Streakers jacket and a Life-time membership to the club. Thanks again for all your great work, Hank. We will look for you on the trails on your own machine this year!

The revised Club By-laws were voted on and unanimously accepted.

Trail Report: A big thanks to all who helped out with getting the trails ready for what we all hope will be a great riding season. We have widened a lot of the trails, so that we can get the groomer through easier. If anyone is interested in learning more about the grooming of our trails, please call Todd at 279-4715.

Club and State registrations will be available at the following locations this year: AJ’s Bait & Tackle, Meredith Center Store, EM Heath Hardware in Center Harbor, New Hampton Auto in New Hampton, and HK Powersports in Laconia. Club only registrations will be available at Winnipesaukee Motor Sports in Meredith. Laconia (Meredith) Harley Davidson will not be doing State registrations this year. We are looking for volunteers to help out at AJ’s Bait & Tackle on the Friday (Jan. 29th) of Fishing Derby weekend to help out with registrations (like we have done in the past at the Harley shop). If you can help out, please let Rhonda know at 455-4502.

Fundraisers: The fundraising calendars are ready for sale. If you would like to get some to buy or sell, please let Todd know. Calendars are $5.00 each and drawings will be held during the month of February. For anyone who is not familiar with this fundraiser, calendars are printed with a monetary amount on each date. A winner is drawn for each date from all people who purchase a calendar. All winners’ names go back into the drawing, so you are eligible to win multiple times. Anyone who is interested in purchasing and/or selling calendars, please let me know at suemagnuson@metrocast.net.

We also have the Super Raffle tickets available. They are $2.00 each or 3 for $5.00. The prizes this year are a 2010 Arctic Cat Sno Pro 500 snowmobile, a 2009 Ski-Doo MX Z 550X snowmobile, a $1,000.00 gas card from Irving Oil Company, and a $500.00 gas card from Irving Oil Company. (Winner will select the prize of their choice in the order drawn from those remaining). If you are interested in any raffle tickets, please include a note and payment along with your membership form, and I will send them to you. All tickets need to be in to our club no later than Feb. 1, 2010 so that we can get the ticket stubs to the State in time for the drawing on Feb 7th.

WEBSITE: If you haven’t checked out our website at sno-streakers.com, you should really do so. Ben Quinn does a great job with it. THANKS, BEN! We had some problems with our hosting service, but after putting in an extraordinary amount of time, Ben finally has it up and running. If anyone has any pictures to put on the website, please send them to Ben and he will add them. Also, if you come across any hazards on the trails, please e-mail Ben at snostreaker@yahoo.com and he will post them on the Trail Report section of our website.
